Today I drew something nice. Not one of those floating heads, expressionless people facing to the left.
I drew a raven on my Moleskine. I don’t think I’ve explored drawing animals yet. I do remember sketching one Japanese waxwing though, but it’s lost among ye olde pile of yellow pads from high school now.

Capping off this entry with something funny:

Last month, Spikey lent me his blank variant of Daredevil #1. It’s been on my bed for a couple of weeks before last weekend, when I just thought, “I’m not in the mood for the internet. I think I’ll work on the cover.” And I did! I don’t think I’ve devoted that much time for a personal artwork in so long. So when I’ve finished it, I figured I’m on the right track; I started the year right. :)
Here’s the step-by-step on the creative process. I didn’t take a shot of the back cover, because I think it looks horrendous. (But not really. Backgrounds just aren’t my forte. *ding!* That’s a sign that I ought to devote some time to improve on it.)
I used Prismacolor markers, which I got around 5 years ago. I’m thrilled they weren’t dried up yet!
Sorry, these were taken with Instagram. I’m having trouble with my camera; it needs to be cleaned.
